Accountability

• Develop an enforceable Code of Conduct to ensure public confidence in elected officials

• End block voting on Council motions and encourage independence by city councillors 

• Restore Question Period to allow residents access to elected officials 

• Repeal the Delegation of Development Permits and Variances to management

Liveability

• Undertake an immediate public review of the Official Community Plan

• Review the Ladner village’s revitalization plan to ensure it truly reflects the villages storied history

• Re-establish Citizen Advisory Committees

• Undertake a legal review of the Provincial legislation controlling development

• Develop tree protection bylaws and better design standards for new developments

• Conduct a review of police and fire resources to ensure alignment with population growth.

Affordability

• Initiate a Zero-Based Budget Review of City departments and the City Council budget 

• Establish clear, simple and accessible public reporting on City budgets 

• Develop a strategy to increase the supply of non-market and affordable housing

• Review funding of external lobby organizations (eg., Urban Development Institute)
